CARDIJN COLLEGE MARIAN WEST MASTER PLAN + STAGE 1

NEW SENIOR SCHOOL CAMPUS FOR A VISIONARY GREENFIELD DEVELOPMENT
Following the acquisition of a new substantial parcel of land adjacent Cardijn College’s Main Marian Campus, the school sought a master plan to maximise opportunities for the school’s future on the greenfield site. Cleverly staged in a progressive development, the new Marian West Campus – Senior Campus – will ultimately complement the Main Campus to accommodate an additional 800 students with a comprehensive range of facilities including general and specialty learning, sports, auditorium, café, library and administration, all set within a master planned landscape.
To ensure a holistic approach, GGA also undertook a broader precinct master plan with the high level site planning ensuring effective connections – including new footbridges – between each campus across the public reserve that bisects them. It also reviewed the existing campus and assessed existing assets for their ongoing use to support Middle School, and how the new campus can support a Senior School. While the master plan sets a course for 10+ years of visionary development, it is a practical, living document that is being further refined as the campus develops.
The first stage of the Marian West Campus master plan is underway, starting with the Senior Learning Building. Taking in the southern views to the ocean, the 3,330sqm development provides 13 GLAs, wet & dry labs, food technology kitchen, open plan hub and extensive staff facilities. Completing Stage 1 works will be the Gym and Marist Centre to expand on learning support spaces, and provide further formal sporting spaces that can also be used by the community.
