SUBOOK SAMRIDHI

Graduate of Architecture

Emerging graduate Subook champions design that is good for people and planet. She brings specialised experience from roles in both design teams and as a sustainability consultant for residential and multi-residential projects, which she now applying across sectors. She has been recognised with various student honours, as well as contributing to the award-winning True Zero Carbon Home.

Subook’s approach to design is firmly rooted in the philosophy that sustainability should be integral to architecture. She brings a holistic view encompassing energy efficiency, materials selection and sourcing, air tightness, air quality and condensation to create responsible and healthy environments. She is familiar with a variety of ratings frameworks including NatHERS, GreenStar, WELS, Living Building Challenge, plus associated modelling software such as FirstRate5. Subook’s data-driven insights add clarity to project decision making through energy modelling and materials life cycle analysis.

Through university, Subook was very involved in student life through a variety of volunteer positions, both in architecture and special interest groups, and has maintained her active professional involvement. Seeing every project as a learning opportunity, Subook enjoys the variety that architecture provides, being able to combine technical, creative, people and on site aspects.
