We were engaged to design a single level addition to an existing beach house at Goolwa Beach on the Fleurieu Peninsula. The original weatherboard structure was upgraded to create a “low maintenance” home for the clients to age-in-place.

The client’s intention was to create a holiday home suitable for their expanding family, referencing the coastal dune landscape that surrounds it. This resulted in a bespoke glazed façade that takes inspiration from the adjacent surf tower, which sit above the landscape and captures the spectacular views along the coast and cool summer breezes!
