The Tanunda Medical Centre currently operates at a facility of variated aged existing domestic and commercial buildings over multiple adjacent sites. Grieve Gillett Architects was engaged by Mykra to undertake a masterplan for two sites and then design and document the new Medical Centre to suit their future growth in one purpose-built building.
 

Through intensive site analysis, consultation with authorities and key stakeholders the masterplan and functional brief was formed. The existing site was confirmed as the preferred location with the demolition of one of the existing buildings to create a new single facility while the existing practice remained operational. GGA together with the consultancy team and Mykra the worked closely with the TMC stakeholders to design and document the new medical centre.

The TMC practice brief requested a domestic scale welcoming facility with 20 consulting rooms, Treatment and Procedure rooms and support facilities bringing the practice up to current Australian Health standards and allowing future growth.
