Grieve Gillett Architects was engaged by Mykra through a Design and Construct contract to provide design and documentation for the refurbishment of the Health on Kensington tenancy on Kensington Road.

The scope of the project includes upgraded reception and waiting room, reconfiguration of treatment and consulting rooms for medicine and allied health and associated staff break facilities. The desired outcome was to refresh the interiors with improved appeal, privacy and amenity, while ideally increasing consulting room capacity.

The spatial design was developed in an iterative process where a dozen options were developed, reviewed and refined to ensure all aspects were considered. The final two preferred options were trade tested with Mykra to ensure the design was within project budget. Interior selections were also developed to reflect the Centre’s brand and a more welcoming and warm palette.
